The town of Winona lake celebrated the Fourth of July a little early this year. On June 30, the day began with a 5k run/walk, follwed by a number of other events, including a kids parade, all kinds of games for the kids, pie eating contest, dunk tank, a tae kwon do display, waterskiiing exhibition, a k-9 exhibition, the classic car cruise-in and a rock/blues concert. Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a lot of good food – and there was plenty of that to be found. This year the event was held in the Winona Lake Park. Fireworks over the lake at 9pm completed the evening with a bang.
