The Plan Commission of Winona Lake, Indiana met Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the Town Hall at 4:30 p.m.  Noted as present:

Members:                   Mark Workman, Dave Turner, Lynette Dick and Craig Allebach

Others:                        Dick Leaf, Town Building Commissioner and Retha Hicks, secretary

July minutes were approved

Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance:

Changes - Page 9 in instead of iii; Page 6 – 4.4 B changed to 250 from 150 and Page 9 – add “for”.

How does it compare to our zoning ordinance?  Does it use the same terminology?

Craig will look through the zoning ordinance to see if it matches.

If an owner remodels a rental unit, the square footage requirement would come into play but all the old rental units will be grandfathered in.  Dick asked how the town can tell people what size of room they can rent.  Craig stated by the minimum square footage requirement in the zoning ordinance.

Dave Turner moved to recommend the ordinance to the Town Council with the above changes, Lynette Dick seconded; the motion passed.

Meeting adjourned.
